We have many wonderful residents at Orange Eco Land, folks from all different backgrounds, countries of origins and generations. This eclectic group of people working together and contributing to the vibe of Orange Eco Land makes this a simply wonderful place to live, invest or visit.

1/ What do you like best about living in Orange Eco Land?
It's all still very much in its infancy. I've spent days in the countryside alone in my campervan. I love the peace here, which I can enjoy just as much as the gardening days recently when some friends helped out in the garden and I prepared lunch for everyone - or the lively orange marmalade cooking experiment: adults, children, and dogs scurrying around in harmony ... marvelous!
Nature's greenery is sprouting vigorously, from my campervan, I look out over the orange trees with their abundance of ripe fruit. I can devote myself to my work as an animal communicator, introspect, meditate, just be ... or do the light tasks that arise here in the countryside or the kitchen. I love to cook for myself and guests, as I did the other day at the garden days. And when the vegetables come from my garden, it's great. Until a few weeks ago, the garden was still providing broccoli, white cabbage, radishes, celery, peas, the last of the aubergines, onions, leeks, parsley, and coriander.
It is also very important to me that I have a place here with my camper where I can live and sleep well without being affected by electromagnetic fields, as I am electro-hypersensitive and was really on the run for a while or looking for an interference-free environment. I hope it stays that way here.
2/ What do you like best about the neighborhood?
Nature, nature, nature ... the mild climate, the proximity to the Atlantic Ocean with a wide choice of beautiful beaches and charming towns.
3/ Is there a favorite artisan or local business that you would like to highlight?
Oh yes! As soon as I arrived here in Portugal, I started looking for opportunities to buy organic products. Very soon I found an organic shop in Portimao with regional fruit and vegetables, but also with products from producers that I recognize from Germany ... and appreciate. I soon found the second organic shop in Portimao with a restaurant and fantastic lunch menus, vegan, organic, and gluten-free on request.
As an organic, vegan, and gluten-free eater, all of this suits me very well, and I also enjoy the atmosphere in these shops as well as the friendly service and advice. That's why I would like to mention this shop called ‘armazem integral’ in particular, but also the other one: ‘Mercearia bio’, because I always enjoy the courteous friendliness and helpfulness when I need or want to know something special.
4/ How is Orange Eco Land in line with your values?
The aim of this place is for people to live here in harmony with nature, as best they can in this modern world. I agree with Albert Schweizer: ‘I want to live amid a life that wants to live’, and that includes the very small creatures that are so easily overlooked and trampled on and yet are enormously important for a healthy nature and a life in an ecological sense. And I sincerely hope that people like this will be attracted to the wonderful land here and realize the project goal and bring it to life.
5/ Do you already give workshops in the countryside? Can you tell us how much of your income comes from Orange Eco Land?
I don't yet give face-to-face workshops in the country itself, because there is not yet the opportunity to do so here. But I am working successfully online - currently with participants from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. I can also fulfill my other assignments as an animal communicator (translator between humans and animals) online. However, I have also done this 95% of the time in Germany. The enormous advantage of telepathic contact or telepathic communication is that I can perceive what is happening far away from me ... So I don't have to travel to the animals, nor do they have to travel to me. In this respect, my income has hardly changed, especially since I activated the online seminar work at the beginning of this year.
I didn't know when I left for Portugal whether I would find the technical requirements here. Thanks to a customized internet cable - currently 50 meters long - I can sit and work in the camper and am connected to the router in the communal kitchen via the cable, so I have the best reception quality or interference from disturbing electromagnetic fields. - I would also like to mention that I have now been on earth for 71 years and still take great pleasure in my work, whether it's one-to-one conversations with animals or passing on my knowledge and experience in courses on animal communication to people who want to learn how to be aware of themselves.
6/ What was the biggest challenge of living in the countryside?
Oh, with all the challenges here, I can't think of one that I could describe as the ‘biggest’. But all of them were and are manageable.
7/ Is there anything you miss about your ‘old life’?
Not really. And if there is something I can't think of right now, there are so many things that make up for a feeling of lack in a good way or make me realize what exciting and enriching experiences I can have here. . I keep in touch with my friends, three of them have already visited me here, and in the summer I'm traveling to Lake Constance in Germany for a few months, where I have a shady spot for my camper because it is and will remain my ‘bedroom’ until the dome here in the country is finished. - I've also made my first contacts with Portuguese people... and they could turn into friendships (all made in the two organic food shops, by the way, 😊) So also Sara. She has been giving me Portuguese language lessons since the beginning of April. I had hoped to find a teacher so that I could learn the language face-to-face and not over the internet.
I am very happy about this.

1/ Was gefällt Ihnen am besten am Leben im Orange Eco Land?
Es ist ja noch alles ziemlich am Anfang. Ich war tagelang mit meinem Campervan ganz allein hier auf dem Land. Ich liebe die Stille hier, die ich genauso genießen kann wie neulich die Gartentage, an denen einige Freunde im Garten mitgeholfen haben und ich für alle ein Lunch zubereitet habe – oder das trubelige Orangenmarmeladenkochexperiment : Erwachsene, Kinder und Hunde wuselten harmonisch durcheinander … herrlich! Das Grün der Natur sprießt kraftvoll, von meinem Campervan schaue ich auf die Orangenbäume mit der Fülle an reifen Früchten. Ich kann mich meiner Arbeit als Tierkommunikatorin widmen, in mich gehen, meditieren, einfach Sein … oder leichte Aufgaben erledigen, die hier auf dem Land oder in der Küche anfallen. Ich koche sehr gerne. Für mich, doch auch für Gäste, wie neulich an den Gartentagen. Und wenn das Gemüse dann noch aus dem eigenen Garten kommt, ist das großartig. Bis vor wenigen Wochen spendierte der Garten noch Broccoli, Weißkohl, Radieschen, Sellerie, Erbsen, die letzten Auberginen, Zwiebeln, Lauch, Petersilie und Koriander.
Für mich sehr wichtig ist auch, dass ich hier mit meinem Camper einen Platz habe, an dem ich ohne Beeinträchtigung von elektromagnetischen Feldern leben und auch gut schlafen kann, denn ich bin elektrohochsensibel und war einige Zeit lang richtiggehend auf der Flucht bzw. auf der Suche nach einem störungsfreien Umfeld. Ich hoffe sehr, dass das hier so bleibt.
2/ Was gefällt Ihnen an der Umgebung am besten?
Natur, Natur, Natur … das milde Klima, die Nähe zum Atlantik mit einer großen Auswahl an wunderschönen Stränden und reizvollen Städtchen.
3/ Gibt es einen Lieblingshandwerker oder ein lokales Unternehmen, das Sie besonders hervorheben möchten?
Oh ja! Sobald ich hier in Portugal angekommen war, suchte ich nach Möglichkeiten, Bioprodukte einkaufen zu können. Sehr bald fand ich einen Bioladen in Portimao mit regionalem Gemüse und Obst im Angebot, doch auch mit Produkten von Herstellern, die ich aus Deutschland kenne … und schätze. Bald fand ich den zweiten Bioladen in Portimao mit Restaurantbetrieb und fantastischen Mittagsmenues, vegan, bio und auf Wunsch auch glutenfrei.
All dies kommt mir als mich bio, vegan und glutenfrei ernährend sehr entgegen, und ich genieße auch die Atmosphäre in diesen Läden sowie die herzliche Bedienung und Beratung. Darum möchte ich diesen Laden mit dem Namen „armazem integral“ besonders erwähnen, doch auch den anderen: „Mercearia bio“, denn auch dort genieße ich stets die zuvorkommende Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft, wenn ich mal etwas Besonders brauche oder wissen möchte.
4/ Inwiefern stimmt Orange Eco Land mit Ihren Werten überein?
Das Ziel dieses Ortes ist, dass die Menschen hier im Einklang mit der Natur leben werden, so gut das in dieser modernen Welt möglich ist, Ich halte es mit Albert Schweizer: „Ich will leben inmitten von Leben, das leben will“, und dazu zähle ich auch die ganz kleinen Lebewesen, die so schnell übersehen und zertreten werden und die doch enorm wichtig sind für eine gesunde Natur und ein Leben im ökologischen Sinne. Und ich hoffe von ganzem Herzen, dass eben solche Menschen von dem wunderbaren Land hier angezogen werden und das Projektziel umsetzen und lebendig machen.
5/ Geben Sie bereits Workshops auf dem Land? Können Sie uns mitteilen, wie hoch der Anteil von Orange Eco Land an Ihrem Einkommen ist?
Auf dem Land selbst gebe ich noch keine Präsenz-Workshops, denn noch gibt es hier nicht die Möglichkeit dazu. Doch ich arbeite erfolgreich online – aktuell mit Teilnehmerinnen aus Deutschland, Österreich und der Schweiz. Auch meine übrigen Aufträge als Tierkommunikatorin (Übersetzerin zwischen Menschen und Tieren) kann ich online erledigen. Das habe ich allerdings auch zu 95 % in Deutschland so gemacht. Der enorme Vorteil eines telepathischen Kontaktes bzw. einer telepathischen Kommunikation ist, dass ich wahrnehmen kann, was fern von mir geschieht … Ich muss also weder zu den Tieren reisen noch sie zu mir. Insofern hat sich an meinem Einkommen kaum etwas geändert, v. a. seit ich die Online-Seminararbeit ab Beginn diesen Jahres aktiviert habe. Ich wusste bei Abreise nach Portugal ja nicht, ob ich die technischen Voraussetzungen hier vorfinden würde. Dank eines maßgefertigten Internetkabels – aktuell 50 m lang – kann ich im Camper sitzen und arbeiten und bin dabei über das Kabel mit dem Rooter in der Gemeinschaftsküche verbunden, habe also beste Empfangsqualität oder Beeinträchtigung durch störende elektromagnetische Felder. – Ich möchte noch erwähnen, dass ich mittlerweile 71 Jahre lang auf der Erde bin und noch immer große Freude an meiner Arbeit habe, ob es die Einzelgespräche mit Tieren sind oder das Weitergeben meines Wissens und meiner Erfahrungen in den Kursen über Tierkommunikation für Menschen, die lernen möchten, sich auf der Herzensebene bewusster und deutlicher mit ihren Tieren zu verständigen, zum Wohle aller.
6/ Was war die größte Herausforderung beim Leben auf dem Land?
Oh, bei den vielen Herausforderungen hier fällt mir gar keines ein, welches ich als „größte“ bezeichnen könnte. Doch alle waren und sind zu meistern.
7/ Gibt es etwas, das Sie an Ihrem "alten Leben" vermissen?
Nicht wirklich. Und sollte es etwas geben, was mir gerade nicht einfällt, gibt es so Vieles, das ein Mangelgefühl auf gute Weise ausgleicht oder mir bewusst machet welch spannende und bereichernde Erfahrungen ich hier machen kann. . Mit meinen Freundinnen und Freunden halte ich Kontakt , drei Freundinnen haben mich auch schon hier besucht, und im Sommer fahre ich für einige Monate nach Deutschland an den Bodensee, wo ich ein schattiges Plätzchen für meinen Camper habe, denn dieser ist und bleibt mein „Schlafzimmer“, bis der Dome hier auf dem Land fertig ist. – Außerdem habe ich erste Kontakte mit portugiesischen Menschen geknüpft… und es könnten Freundschaften daraus werden (übrigens alle in den beiden Bioläden geknüpft 😊)
Eine junge Frau, Sara, gibt mir seit Anfang April portugiesischen Sprachunterricht geben. Ich hatte mir gewünscht, eine/n LehrerIn zu finden, um die Sprache im direkten Kontakt zu lernen, und nicht über das Internet.
Ich freue mich riesig darüber.
